Well i thought you went to a taller tire. if you go to a taller tire youre
changing the gearing to a lower gear ( numerically higher) if youre going to
a smaller tire youre changing to a higher gear ( numerically lower)
Lets say you have a 235 70 15 thats a 28 inch tall tire. lets say you got
3.55 gears. and you just switched to a 235 60 15. well the new tire is 26
inches tall. now your actual gearing is 3.81. the lower gears is whats
getting you moving faster not the lowering. the lowering isnt doing anything
for your speed. it could give you better MPG. this site is great to figure
out your gears and tire talness and stuff. really a neat site
heres the link hope it helps
