My father had this prob when u was towin his trailer, slight hills would make
it ping, to fix just instal a 180 degree thermostat, when he did this no
pinging at all we went on a 1600 miles round trip towing the car trailer with
a car on it and no pingin got up to over 100 degrees with ac on up monster
hills no pingin. Good luck
