Re: 180 degree thermo (install)

I did it by removing the alt and keeping the AC compressor on. Without the
alt off. I think it'd be impossible.

For the install. remember to get some gasket sealer, scrape the old gasket
off the waterneck, and put the thermostat in the right way. (very important)

tools:
of course your basic sockets and wrenchs, but I'd get a magnetic
picker-upper. Once you drop that bolt, I don't think you'd be able to
squeeze your hand between the AC compressor and whatever else it's stuck
between. also. I guess you could put the nut in and start twisting it into
place, then when it's a lil snug. pull up on the magnetic thing and then
insert the socket with extension and tighten. I think that'd be the easiest
way. I didn't have a magnetic picker-upper and it was hell trying to align
the nut up..

removing
alternator and all out of the way? I thought I saw someone post about using
10" extension or something. Any time saving tips ( do's and dont's)
greatly appreciated. Also would like advice on Computers, reprogrammers,
 etc.
