You can run a 3" Single or a 2" Dual with the same results. If you look at
the kits offered by the various manufacturers, you'll notice that the
single systems use a larger pipe. You don't want to go larger than a 3"
pipe on a V8 or 2.5" on a V6 for street-able results. For racing and
high-rpm performance, larger pipes come in handy...but at a cost of low-end
performance.
