Ok, I've volunteered to help a friend put a MSD6a on his RT. I put one on
mine awhile back and just used the univeral installation harness and spliced
into the original coil wires (no big deal). My friend is a wimp and
doesn't want to splice his original wires.
I came up with using the Accel Coil Adapter harness (PN 140021AH), and the
MSD universal harness (PN 8873) for his truck. I seem to recall having
heard of it being done before and since he blows money on his truck I
couldn't resist suggesting it to him. My only question for the group is,
on the accel harness which has 2 plugs and 2 wires(green and black) between
the plugs which one should I splice as positive, and which as negative???
My EE degree says green is ground, DC seems to like black for ground..
Which group of engineers do I trust? :) I'll still double check with a
meter, but wanted to have an idea first to avoid looking dumb..
Thanks as always..
