It should be okay on your '99 (check first). You will feel a difference
either letting the tranny do the shifting or shifting manually. You
will also notice if you downshift manually. Shifts firm up but
not harsh and far less slippage. The kit is really not made for
electronically controlled transmissions so manual shifts at WOT
can be erratic ... i.e. stays in a gear or shifts late.
Experimentation with TV cable adjustment will help.

I have heard of other shift kits (B&M, Mopar) but know nothing about
them.
