I assume you checked your fluid level? I would do as you suggest and change
the fluid and filter... At 62K it sure ain't going to hurt and when you have
the pan off you can check for signs of ware/problems like excessive metal on
the magnet/in the pan.

Alrighty then, I will ask again.

My wifes tranny is acting strange. takes forever to
shift out of 2nd gear and downshifts alot on the hiway
going up hills. It has 62k on it... oh, it is a 97
ram cc 360 auto. It has never had anything done to
it... so should a simple change of trans fluid and
filter solve the problem? I read that you were
supposed to do this at like 50k?

Please give me any input.
