I don't think this whole string of arguments is necessarly R/T vs. non-R/T.
It is 360 vs. 4.7L

No its not. its against the morons who think their trucks are so bad ass. if the 4.7 was such a bad performing motor why are they installing it in the dakota. because its a better motor. sa for torque mine has plenty off the line and pulls until i get off the gas.

Therefore, your attack against the R/T for not being an off-road vehicle...

I just used mine as a example. personally i wouldnt buy a 2 wheel drive again. i like having 4 wheel drive. most of the Rt owners i met are assholes.

and the attack against it's towing capacity isn't damaging.

thats why people are suing dodge for the screw up. because people dont want to use as a work vehicle. yeah sure.

 I could care
less, I bought my truck as a sport truck... I will never take it off road...

Thats your choice. i do go off road and thats where we are different.
and I will never tow anything with it.

Again your choice.

If you were to put the 360 in a Dakota without the R/T suspension... say.. a
4x4 setup... they it would run circles IN THE MUD, around a dinky 4.7L.
Also, we all know the low-end torque of the 360 would dominate the high
revving 4.7L when it comes to towing.

Now heres the statment i like : dinky: my 4.7 does great in the mud and dirt. the ones that ive seen with 360 were good in the dirt. there was no difference. I drove a 360 4x4 and yeah it has a little more torque but i personally didnt see the big deal. ive had small blocks for a long time and the 4.7 was on par with the power the 360 had in my opinion. so lets end this. you like what you like and i like what i like.
