Save your money and purchase a after market CD Changer. The DC version is
not worth the money. However, they place it between the seat and driver's
side rear seat on the club cab (standing upright).

John,

The mini-overhead console (the one without the computer) is the OEM unit
that is on the assembly line. You can either see it in a Dak that came from
the factory with it or in the Y2K Dakota brochure from the dealer. I just
purchased the parts for it from my local Dodge dealer and will be installing
it myself.

What do these overhead consoles look like? I don't think i've seen one but
it does sound like an interesting idea. Are there any pictures of it
anywhere?

I have also been contemplating a console type unit on the floor in
front/between the (bench)seats. More for somewhere to put my cd changer, and

for some more storage space.
