Nope, you have a former ICE combustion specialist here. With higher octane
gas in engines which dont require it, you get buildups of the stuff that
your engine cant burn (higher octane is harder to burn). These deposits can
potentially heat up and cause detonation. Really, dont run high octane if
you dont have to.
