That is true. The 318 has the A500 44RE or RH in older Daks. The 360 has the
A518 46RE or RH depending on age of the vehicle. You can bolt up a 46R_ on the
318. If you are going to a newer version 97+, then you have to get the 46RE
with a 97 tailshaft to accomodate the speedo sensor and gear. I will be
swapping a 46RE with the 47RE planetaries into my truck with a 318 this Feb.
