I would go with the 380 crate motor. lots of hp and lots of room to build it up
even more. you could always get the 360 with the 380 cam in it. I may even try
the 380 cam in the 318 motor (greatly modified) and the ported heads. See if it
works. Only question is the valve lift of 0.501/0.512. This will make it
close. Duration is 288/292 so it will stay there for awhile anyway.
