Solid front axle ---- I presume that you want to convert to 2 wheel
drive.
If so use a solid front axle out of a pre 1971 Dodge Pick-up . You will
have to narrow it and use leaf springs. Sounds like a neat swap and
should reduce you weight by some 200 lbs. Have fun!
