Interesting, usually retarding the timing will reduce engine
ping/detonation. Something screwy with the puter. I bet you money it's
the computer that is the problem. Seems like the processor is a little
slow or the priority table is not right. Anyone had the cover off their
computer box lately? Next time you have the over off, write down the
numbers off the "big chip" in there. Might be a long rectangular
chip. Dunno what processors Chrysler uses. Should be a Motorola
chip. Research time...

Would be interesting to find out if there is a new processor or computer in
the 2000 models. Since the 2K models have a lower ping count.
