Hi there,
Well I had my truck at the dealer the other day to get the ignition
switch "halo" light repaired - and the dealer claims that my truck wasn't
equipped with one because it did not come with power windows and locks. I
swear that the light worked when I first got the truck...just somewhere
between when it was new and when I brought it up here for school is when the
halo-light quit. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here with a 1999 Dakota
CC w/o power windows/locks could check their Dak's for the Halo-light (turns
on with the interior lights...stays on a couple seconds after shutting the
doors to help guide your key into the hole). Please let me know if yours
does or does not work. I have the feeling that the dealership here in
Fairbanks (Gene's Chrysler) is pulling my chain AGAIN - I've been quite
dissatisfied with them in the past. They claim that there WAS a burned-out
bulb in the light socket, but no wiring in between, and that this was NOT a
factory defect, so therefore they can't add the wiring. My friend's 98 Dak
equipped like mine claims his Halo light works! So I don't know what to
think anymore...but its getting me quite ticked about the "Service" dept.
Sorry for making this so long...thanks in advance for the help!
