It does come on the '97 SLT models and I just happen to have my old one
sitting (covered) in the garage not doing anything.

The '97 Sport did not come with the underhood pad. I think that it's
standard on the SLT model. You can get one from the parts dept. ...
not very expensive ... mine was about $45 CDN ... should be $30-35 U.S.?
