I have been asked this question, literally, thousands of times. They are not
DOT approved street legal. Every box of lenses that we sell has a huge sticker
on it that says, "for off-road or show use only."

Let me lay down some logic:

Currently, if one were to look at any handful of new cars within the last 2-3
years you would find that many manufacturers are including their cars with clear
lenses.
ex.(Nissan Altima with clear bulbs in the parking lamps, stock). So, that leads
me to my point. People very rarely(I've never heard of it and I have sold
thousands of these things) get ticketed for clear corners. The cop has to be
one of the biggest dick heads, pardon the language, around. Most cops do not
even recognize them as being different, because it looks like it could have come
this way from the factory.

Clear tail lamps, however, could get you in trouble if you do not take the right
precautions, i.e., Use red bulbs and chaeck them often t make sure they stay
red. Even with that said, police still issue warnings for clear tail lamps,
giving an unlimited amount of, dare I say "excuses," even if it does look legal.
Even if the right precautions are taken, the fact clear tail lamps stick out so
much, makes you a potential target.

Hope this clarifies.
