Actually 92 was the first year for the magnum 318 and 239. The 360 went
magnum in 93. But, there were no changes in the 318 until 94 when they
dropped 5hp due to changes in emissions.
I have to agree with this theory though. My 92 Dak 318 4x4 went 15.36 @
91.44 a Cecil county. Thats faster than some of the R/T's are running.
Patrick Engram (Firestone boy) also has a 92 and had a 94 both with 318's and
If I remember correctly, the 92 was stronger stock than his 94 with a cam and
puter.
The 94 even recieved a new engine under warranty. I dont remember why though.
