No, you're referring to Jeep's Quadra-Trac. On the other hand, Jeep's
Select-Trac and Command-Trac has the 4WD part-time option that locks the
differentials; the wheels are always engaged in this option; not just when
the back spins.

What's with these guys that say they've got this 4wd part-time option?
The Grand Cherokees have this part-time 4wd system that only engages the
front wheels when then backs start to spin. My buddy has one.
He doesn't really like it cause there is no 2wd option so he can't spin the
backs for fun when he wants. He's jealous of my Dak, as he should be.
