Very true. And to add to that, adding a cam with longer duration and
higher lift (both specs depend on hardware compliment) allows the engine to
take a bigger gulp of air/fuel making a bigger bang. Then you get into
smoothing out the intake runners to let all that air just glide right into
the combustion chambers, then glide on out the exhaust with minimal air
flow disruptions or bumps along the way.
Shhhh, that's a secret ;-)
