GMC Jimmy Typhoon II
With the continued growth in the sport/ute market, and
reduction in GM pony
car sales, the time may be right to revisit the GMC Typhoon
concept. The
latest example of a muscle/ute is based on a 1999 Jimmy SLE
4x4, with the
                 4.3-liter V-6 powerplant augmented by a Vortech V-1
supercharger and Borla
cat-back exhaust system. Other performance enhancements
include Baer
Racing disc brakes, 4-inch lowered suspension, and
BFGoodrich Comp T/A
255/50ZR17 tires on Budnik billet aluminum 17x9.5-inch
Trilogy III wheels. The
exterior features an Envoy front fascia, rear bumpers, and
high-intensity
discharge headlights, along with PIAA driving lights.
