They must have changed it then, because when I was ordering my '98
Dakota the deal was only good for the 360 engine and above. Now,
that was before the RT ever came about so it wouldn't apply at all
for a Dak. My Uncle (a legitimate of the farm bureau) told me about
it when he owned his Ram 2500.
>"No", I have no association with the Farm Bureau Insurance Service. This
>weekend while getting prices for a Dakota I found out that by joining the
>Farm Bureau for $30 you can get a $500 discount on Dodge Trucks from DC.
>I talked to the Farm Bureau this a.m. It seems the deal is good for
>anything, but a 4 cylinder, (but don't quote me on that). Anyway, it is
>a nationwide discount. Sorry, I didn't think about asking about Canada
>or Mexico. Just find the Farm Bureau Insurance Service in the phone book
>and check it out. Note, you have to be a member of the Bureau for 30
>days BEFORE YOU TAKE DELIVERY to qualify. I joined and ordered my truck
>today. I believe each State has a Farm Bureau, but if you have a real
>problem locating them the number for the office in St. Louis, MO, that I
>used is 314-965-4888 or "TheBear34@aol.com". They might be able to point
>you in the right direction. OR ask a Dodge salesman, but I had talked to
>several salesman over the last several months and not until Saturday did
>any of them mention it, but all the ones after that verified for me they
>knew about the discount. I don't know, maybe the discount is common
>info, but it sure made me happy when I found out about it and I wanted to
>pass it on. That gives me an extra $470 to spend on accessories. Where
>to start, where to start.
