To remove the EOM knob, take a small regular screwdriver and
pry up the center cap. You will need to get a good "bite" on the cap
as it is recessed into the knob with a little lip on the bottom of the cap.
Once the cap is out use a 13mm (If I remember correctly) socket and
remove the set nut. The knob will just slide up. When you loosen the
nut, be sure that the whole shifter lever doesn't turn. I had to take a pair
of vice grips and a couple layers of rag to hold the shifter lever.
