Not quite. Well, it depends on how he staged, and what staging they were
running that day at the track. There are two beams that are
important. The first beam is where you stop when your front tire breaks
it. The second beam in front of the first is what starts the timer. Your
actually rolling before the clock starts (the clock doesn't start when the
light turns green, depending on what staging is being used). The reaction
time is the time it takes to break the second beam after the light turns
green. Depending on the type of staging used (several different staging
positions), you want to step on the gas when the last yellow (or last two
yellow) light turns on, not waiting to see green. It all depends on what
your doing, and how your staged.
