BTW: Rods do come into play on a "stroker motor" especially if the actual
length of the rod(s) is too long (or too short) for the desired
displacement. You don't think the make shorter/longer rods just to sell
them do you? ;)

Stroking involves changing the stroke, or "throws" of the crankshaft. This
means that the centerlines of the rod journals are moved outward in relation
to the centerline of the main journals. Simply changing rod length will not
affect the stroke of an engine.
