 "I don't mind a couple private e-mails. "
And those would be sent to ?

"popular sayings, phrases, famous quotes or expressions of the time."

Call someone a "meathead" from, All in the Family (tv show), primetime
insult.
"Cool" as a term that was highly promoted by Happy Days (please tell me
you have heard of this tv show).
"Solid" = to "right on" or good, from Link of the MOD Squad (tv show, *I
think this was the early 70's, but not sure I was real young then).
"Just the facts, mama" , Sergeant Friday*, Ahh, I can't recall the tv
shows name, but say it to any one over 34 and they will know what you're
talking about.
"That's the second biggest (insert any noun) I've ever seen" and "Missed
me by that much" often said by Maxwell Smart of tv's Get Smart, and
repeated by Joe Public.
"Sorry Dave, I can't do that" computer's line from Space Odyssey, 2000
(?), movie. From the 70's, but used more in the 80's in ads, etc. And I
can't recall the computer's name either, but I'm sure some one will. Al
that it, I think, maybe.
"Get your filthy hands off me you ape", okay it really never caught on,
but it was from the best movie series of the 70's* and maybe 60's, Planet
of the Apes.
"De plane, De plane", just too hard to explain, ask your parents, from
Paradise Island.
"Hi, Bob" not so much a phrase that caught on, but a good drinking game,
from Newhart (as in Bob Newhart).
"She's a brickhouse" Commodore's song, term brickhouse to describe a
women still pops up now and again.
"Making Whoopee" was used by the tv show the Newly Wed game as I recall
and caught on, although the term had been around before that.

That's all I can think of right now. Good luck.
