Well I don't know which tire is right for you, but I live in North Dakota &
BFG ATs have always done the job for me, on & off road. Had a set on my
79'Ford, & that beast was virtually unstoppable! Mud, snow, you name it,
hydroplaned like a S.O.B. though. So this fall I picked up a set for the
Dakota (99, 5.2L, HD auto, full time 4x4, man I love my truck!!). Since I
have to drive through lots of ice & snow (well not this year) so I had the
BFGs siped whick made a big difference on the old Ford. Unless you are
doing serious mudding, I would recomment the ATs, they are quieter, last
longer (if you don't melt them away from every stop light that is, man do
these things howl though) & I beleive are cheaper to purchase, I would
reccomend also, to get the KO series of the ATs, little more open tread, &
don't hydroplane as bad.
