The bar does hang below the axle but it still doesn't hang lower than the gas
tank. The end link on the passenger side ends up mounting almost directly in
from the rear most part of the tire. That is where the exhaust pipe is
curving out to run along the frame to avoid the spare tire. I hope this
clears it up for you. I'll take some pictures later today.
