Transmission whine..in REVERSE

I seem to have developoed a transmission whine (a whirring/whining sound )
when I put a less than fully warmed up truck in reverse on these cold NE
mornings. I have a 46 RH tranny on my '95 that has almost 100K miles on it.
I change tranny fluid and filter annually (religiously). I aslo have a
shift kit from Level 10 installed. Does anyone have any idea what's up with
this unit?
