No arguments about mounting it in the bed...but i'm a little bit afraid of
having it ripped off.

Its not only a safety item, but some tracks may not let you run without one.

want as much sheet metal between myself and that bottle as possible. :-)
My opinion: in a truck, the best place for the bottle is in the bed...
(Mount it on the right hand side to help out in the traction dept.)
