there's some modification required for a bracket to hold the thing
up/steady. Not a hard thing to build though and we're getting ready for
that job in a few more weeks.

I wouldn't mill the plate any since they designed it that way.

As for the 12/13's, the air filter really doesn't have too much to do with
that as long as it can flow more than enough for the requirements of the
engine. (A standard 6"x9" Cone flows more than plenty for that.)

(BTW: I'm still jealous. Gonna call them for a plate conversion if
possible.)

Subject: DML: intake stuff......

Well after putting my Top Gun nitrous kit on my 5.9 Ram I have a
problem/question/opinions wanted thing going....

the plate is 0.75" tall, and with the rams there is a limit as to how much
air cleaner you can fit, so my "functional" (really just cold air) kit
from Pro-finish-Pro-Glass will not fit right now. (this was basically a
fiberglass piece that used the K&N FIPK around it) I can mill down the
adapter and return everything to stock height, but this will require me to
relocate some of the N20 stuff, which I dont really want to do. Plus I put
my reworked Quick D TB on and this thing kicks butt right now and I wont
want to hurt that!

Anyway, since my ram air FIPK wont work, what does everyone have to say
about intake kits, such as the Quick D, K&N, etc, Im just interested in
the basic concept (ie, big tube with cone filter on the end). Are people
running 12s/13s with this kind of setup. Those are my 1/4 mile goals for
the near future, but I dont want to be restricted by my intake setup.

Any opinions welcome!!

Thanks!

Clay
