Hi Doug,
I think I read your posts to the dml.
it will fit, but it will take quite a bit of work.........and you wont really
be gaining much performance, since its still using the terrible stock shaft.
And that TB on ebay is for a pre 96.......probably a 95. it has those little
holes in the bores.
I dont post the different price.....but I actually sell the V6 TBs for only
$225.
so for the extra money, you will be getting a TB made specifically for your
truck size, and it will be built to perfection. Not off some junk yard truck.
I was thinking about buying that TB, but we use them for old style trucks. We
have about 25 current style TBs and a bunch of the older style v6 and v8 tbs.
The V6 doesnt need much more air......it really just needs the flow to be
cleaned up a bit.
Everyone tends to want to go bigger......but bigger is not always the best
answer. I know some locals, that went up to a 3" exhaust on their V6ers....and
they are very sorry. I dont even have 3" on my D, and I have over 350hp.
if you decide to get that TB, let me know......and maybe we can help talk you
through it......hopefully it will work.
or if you decide to go with one of mine.......I am certain you will be happy
with the results.
Talk to you soon........Tony
