Subject: '98 Dakota problem
Hello!
I work at a shop and I'm working on a '98 Dakota that won't run.... its
acting like there's no fuel.
We replaced the fuel pump, and same thing... there is no pressure in the
lines.
I hooked up a Snap-On computer to it and found out that there is a problem
in the Automatic Shutoff Device (I think that's what its called) Anyway....
it does seem like the shutoff device is killing the fuel flow when you try
and start it....
When you crank the engine it will run like crap for 1 or 2 seconds, then die
like its not getting enough fuel.
Any help would be appreciated
thanks.
