Steve, I'm right with ya on that Steve, I've got Tim Koth (dml'er) checking
out his Non- LEV 4.7L dak for us, he should have some info for us by
tomorrow!! I'm betting it's an easy swap!! I hope, cause I'll do it in a
heart beat. When I called the dealer to get the part number, the guy was
asking me what I was doing "moving to Cal." I said no, just mess'n around,
don't ask!!!

Matt-
It would be interesting to find out if the O2 sensor placement was the same
on the two y pipes and how tough an install it is... I would also wonder
if the Main cat was the same or designed especially for use with the
Pre-cats. I might be tempted to replace the main cat with the 3 inch
dynomax and swap the y pipe every two years for the test.

| Steve, The Cali emissions come on all mid-atlantic/ North east state
trucks,
| they call it "LEV" Low emission Vehicles.. I'm in VA and I have the 3
cats,
| but I working on swapping the Y-pipe from a NON LEV state onto my truck
to
| eliminate the 2 cats!
| The part numbers for the Y-pipes are as follows:
| 52103254AB for the NON LEV y pipe
| 52103527AB for the LEV y pipe
|
| I will give an update with my progress.

| I'm a little bummed out about the two mini cats on a 4.7L only being in
| Kalifornia (and for the Massachuski's).
|
| That Y pipe is so incredibly lame looking. I was really looking forward
to
| the new headers coming out and a custom y-pipe. But if the cats are Kal
| only, chances are the new parts are not going to work on Kal Daks.
|
| I'm not going to run illegally without cats. You normal human beings
might
| be able to escape prosecution. Try standing in front of a judge as an
| attorney and explain how you had a small lapse in judgment! Presidents
| during periods of good economic growth may be able to pull it off, but
not
| common everyday shysters like me!
|
| Also I was thinking about one of those 3 inch Dynomax Cats. But if I
can't
| replace the mini cats with anything better, what's point.
