My tranny was toasted the 3rd day after i picked it up from the dealership.
But i'm pretty sure i'm one of the rarer cases. As well, I was one of the
first to take delivery of the 2000 models, and at that time i think they
were rushing the trucks through production as i have noticed a couple small
factory defects (rear seat back not fitting properly being the worst case).
i got my 2000 back in November, so that's 5 months that they've had to fix
the small problems they might have been having with production. And they
probably aren't rushing the trucks through as badly as back then.
And these problems are all under the warraty so no big deal.
