Paintable... I don't think it'll work in the long run.
I'd look around for a manufacture that was willing to make custom ones (for
extra $$ of coarse)
But shops have their choice of hundreds of colors of vinyl so you could
have a custom one made. My original custom tonneau was made it was black,
it tore so I had a new one made last summer in a color that matches my deep
spectrum blue pretty close (slightly lighter shade). It looks good.
