Mine does this too, but it didn't start till it had about 130,000miles on
it. Dad said it was probably a sticking lifter. It seems to follow RPMs, so
this makes sense. But, dad's 99 Ram had a ""Ticking" sound in it soon after
he got it. It was the main thrust bearing, there wasn't one!!
