Well.. after driving my 2000 4x4 RC dakota for 2 weeks I have decided it
just isn't high enough or badass enough for me. I believe Im going to have
to get a 3 inch suspension lift from rancho to help increase looks. I have
heard that the 2000 dakotas have somthing different and previous rancho lift
kits wont work on them. Does rancho have a special 3 inch suspension lift
for 2000 dakotas??? I plan to lift it within a year hopefully. What is the
biggest size tires I can fit with a 3 inch suspension lift WITH NO rubbing?
Will these tires fit on stock rims? I have 3.55 gears in it.... will I need
to swap to different gears If I do this lift and get 33 inch tires(if they
will fit)? If so, what gear ratio will I need to get to keep my current
level of performance? The truck has the new 4.7L v8 and 5 speed tranny so
right now its plenty fast. Once I get a lift on the truck am I going to
notice a lot rougher ride and a big loss in handling? Also, do any of you
in the midwest know of a good place that can install suspension lifts?
Preferably a place in Missouri so that I dont have to travel far. Thanks.
