You are right Alan. A Saleen S351 will run around 58000 (full option and
ready to race at the local track or local street) with a 495 rear HP on the
Dyno-jet. A SC Saleen S-281 with 350HP will do the 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and
the 1/4 in 13.? @ 112MPH. They go for 34K. But when I researched the new
engine replacement for my Dak (426 Hemi), I had seen some of the Keith
Blacks, Merlin's modifies, and some others that will make you jaws drop of
the HP output. Far cheaper than the asking price of the car and the HP
output is doubled.
I think it maybe a OEM products that an average person could do for cheaper.
I been discussing some points with them asking for the specs and the
differences with the regular SS. I can see why the Saleen, Roush, or SVT
Lightning cost more but this vehicle I really don't know. I have drove two
of the previous but the not Lightning as of yet. They are priced right for
what they give in either cosmetic and performance (whether straight line of
street racing).

Why not with the Dakota?
I run 14.09 @ 94.5 on the motor....13.4 @ 100 on a little juice!
It handles as good as any of those and runs with 'em too.
Curious....why so much money for only 375 hp? Aren't those bowties over
300 hp stock? Surely 75 hp of bolt-ons doesn't run 10 grand!
