<<my dak has got alot of condensation and rust and white froth on the
dipstick lately, i know it must be water but where is it coming from, is this
a bad sign?>>

It ain't good!

<<the motor has 150,000 mi on it and runs strong, but burns 10w-30 almost a
quart every 3000 mi with 10W-40 about a 1/4 quart.>>

Since the heavier oil doesn't go out as fast, that says leaking/blown gasket
somewhere to me... There was a post about the intake manifold gasket going
sometime in everybody's future and it told you how to test for it. It should
be in the archives. Have you done the old
"look-on-the-ground-for-an-oil-stain" trick to see if it might be the oil pan
that's leaking?
Tom
