Only thing I can compare is Jon's '96 vs. my '95 SLT... I had 3.90s, he has
3.21... I shift from 1st-2nd almost immediately, 2nd to 3rd about 300',
and
3rd to 4 exactly at the 1/8th mi.... Taching upwards to 4600 rpm through
the lights
at 91 mph... If I had 3.55s it might be a better run, as 1st would be
usable, but not
sure how well it would pull it, plus a shift from 3rd-4th would take place
near the
lights (guess)... Jon is still in 3rd I believe.

Highway rpm wise for me 2200 rpm was 65 mph...
