Bob,
Sounds like you ran into a bad batch of gasoline. You can either just drive
it empty, or pump it out and refill your tank. That would be my first guess
if you were running fine just before filling up.

Subject: DML: Non Dak question and problem.

My wife was driving her 98 grand am yesterday and it started missing right
after she filled up with gas.
I pulled the plugs and they were covered with soot.
Put new plugs in and drove it 10 miles, used a 1/4 tank of gas and it had
black smoke, plugs were fowled again,
The codes from the code reader did not show any trouble codes.
It acted like the cars used to when they had a choke stuck closed but this
is FI and don't think it has a choke.
Any ideas on how to fix?
Thanks.

Bob
