Bob Kurgan, one of the fastest Renegade racers in the nation, attributes a
large portion of his 1999 record time of 9.66 to the addition of his Paxton
NOVI-2000 supercharger. Bob's efforts have made the NOVI-2000 the
supercharger of choice for the Renegade race class and many racers are
following Mr. Kurgan's example. Several of these racers (including Bob)
have been screaming for a driver side supercharger bracket for the
NOVI-2000. A driver side bracket allows for the use of a straight discharge
supercharger which can provide better air flow and higher boost than the 90
degree rear discharge supercharger found on Paxton's standard NOVI-2000
supercharger system. The standard system is located on the passenger's side
of the vehicle so that the air conditioning and power steering on the
driver's side remain intact. In racing conditions those accessories are
removed for less weight and additional horsepower.

Paxton Automotive has responded to racers' needs with a complete Renegade
Race Supercharger System. The supercharger system utilizes a straight
discharge NOVI-2000R supercharger equipped for race duty. The scroll is
extrude honed for better air flow and the impeller is cryogenically treated
for increased rigidity. The blower mounts to the driver's side of the
vehicle using the tri-plane race bracket designed for the NOVI-3000. Air is
routed through a mandrel bent discharge tube with two bypass valve mounting
plates. An 8-inch crank pulley and 3.75-inch supercharger pulley are
included with two 8 rib supercharger belts. Oil lines for the supercharger
and a Renegade reducer sleeve are included in the package.
