Maybe your shifting isn't "race tuned" how do you shift? Most guys that
kill their clutches at the track run about 8 tenths of a second faster than
the guys who don't shift right.
just a scenerio:
friend has a 98 integra GSR with an intake and muffler,
other guy has a new yellow Type R integra with same intake.muffler AND DC
headers.
both are stick shifts, but friend with the GSR has been racing, he pulls a
14.8 and the Type R integra (which puts out more power AND has headers over
the GSR) only ran a 15.3. It's all in the racing technique.

<< Mighty impressive RT-.989 (STOP LAUGHING!) 1/4-18.593 @77.39
3rd pass- FINALLY! RT-.521 1/4-17.878 @76.41
I decided it wasn't going to get much better, and I was tired, (who
knew driving 1/4 mile could be so exhausting), so I went home.
Fortunately, the honor of Dodge trucks was NOT up to me to uphold, as
I originally feared, because there was a racing Dakota there in the
Super Pro class who did a 10.06. >>
