Hopefully the price for the 2004 Charger will be around the market price of
the Mustang & the new Camaro, which is reviving that year with a totally new
body design. But I hoping for a R/T special model the year after. But
looking at the last Dyno run with the Dakota 4.7, there was only a 11.5
percent lost at the rear end. If this is correct then I would expect around
289HP at the rear. Then with the added mods who knows by then. Maybe a CNG
version TB for that massive HP gain. He He He

That would be a scream!! around 260 RWHP in a Charger!! But they probably
want too much money for it!

My ultimate goal for my 4.7L is 287 Flywheel HP, cube to hp ratio 1:1 !!
with No NOS or SC!
Or, about 245 RWHP, so I need an extra 37 RWHP or about 42 FWHP.
I believe with the Mopar Computer, Exhaust, and hopefully headers as soon as
they come out, along with the usual TB mods, this will be a realistic goal!
And if my estimates are right, that should take me from 14.7's to 14.3's.
Oh yea, I have been real satisfied with my Hoosier Slicks, my 60' times are
consistently in the low 1.90's. I highly recommend these tires, they are a
little pricey!

Right now the Charger will receive the latest advance HO version of the
4.7L. It looks like the engine will be pushing around 327HP but the TQ
remains a mystery. I would suspect the same or greater than the HP output.

Those are really good 1/8 times. My best with the 5.2L to date is 9.445
sec.
pulling about 4,350 lb. (got to shed some weight!).

Imagine what the 1/4 times would be if the power band on the 4.7 was
extended up
to the 4600 rpm range! My experience with the Gen III from last year was
that,
on the whole, the trap speed was affected more with wind conditions than
the ETs
... would have thought ETs would be affected as well.

Sure like to see what the hi-po version of the 4.7 (5.4L?) will be like.
I hear that CC is well into the testing of it and will push it to EPA-
allowable limits.
