Hey all...
just had to share this with you guys.
I'm on my way home tonight just minding my
own business and this late 80's honda accord
switches lanes real fast behind me and starts tailing
me..(i get this a lot, seems ever since i had the exhaust
put on, ricers come looking for me like i wanna race..i've been
told numerous times that my truck sounds like a ralley car or something)
but anywho...he starts getting real close to me and changing lanes evertime
i do and this is starting to piss me off. We come around a nice bend in the
road
and by now traffic is behind us so i layed the pedal into the carpet and she
kicked
into second pulling around 4 grand and swiftly moving up the tach..(this
seems to be the
sweet spot in the six, and produces a wonderful wail out those dual
pipes)...nice upshift
to 3rd and eclipsing the 70mph mark in no time. The guy is still in the side
mirror a ways back
so i just left it on the floor til about 95 when he's starting to dissapear.
I let off and started
coasting back to normal speed while the exhaust is producing this wonderful
engine braking note and notice
he's in the far left lane going normal speed and im in the far right lane
slowing down for a light. Just before
I get to the light he shoots all the way over to my lane and flips on his
blinker to turn right..(so happens to be
that i'm about to turn right also)..anyway...the light is still red and i
figure he hasn't learned his lesson yet so
i decided to test a theory in "stationary throttle application" and left his
butt in a cloud of smoke before i let off
the brake and turned the corner. Needless to say..all this makes me want
more power for the sixer...hmmm...maybe a S/C or
twin turbos...???? choices choices choices
