I have an LT4 in my Corvette. You can check
http://members.uss.net/ep/vette/lt1lt4.html if you are interested in
learning more. I don't drag, but I know others who have the stock LT4 and
have pulled even better the 12.9 in the 1/4 mile. The LT4 engine was an
option only available on the 96 manual version of the Corvette from GM. The
LT1 times are not as quick.
So no it is not BS, please do your homework next time before making
generalizations :-)!
