They offer a 4.06:1 first gear. That put together with a 3.08 would be
12.5:1 on the final ratio. (3.20:1 Gears would set that to 13:1 with a
4.06:1 first gear.) That should be more than enough to get it out of the
hole.

If the 6-Speed is being designed for the 1/4 mile, that's a little bit
overkill. A 3-Speed auto would be perfect in that scenario...not a 6-speed.
Is this vehicle going to be used on both or just for 1/4 miles?

I dunno; it depends on the application I guess. Something like that
would probably be good for a road racer (RWD/AWD twin turbocharged 360ci
Avenger with all those gears to keep the powerband right where you want
it? <drool> Aughta be good for some serious top end speed too
(180-200mph?)), but for a dragstrip application, that's just 2 extra gears
to row though. :-( (Seems like you'd need 'em to build the first couple
of gears nice and steep in order to get outta the hole with a 3.08 rearend
though, wouldn't you?)
