Well my first day at a dragway and I did a lot better than I thought. In a magazine article I have it says my Durango should run a 16.9 at 81.3 mph. I made 4 runs:

1st: O/D was on (on mistake), shifting manually I ran a 16.0 at 84.6 mph (burned them in the water box)
2nd: got to excited and got the RPM up to high at take off, spun like crazy 17.3 at 83.6 mph (did not burn them in the water box)
3rd: O/D shifting manually off 16.1 at 84.1 mph (burned them in the water box)
4th: O/D set in "D" 16.1 at 84.1 mph (burned them in the water box)

My Durango is bone stock with the exception of having R/T wheels. It seemed to help if I got the tires warmed up in the water box. Over all I was pretty happy with the way my Durango was handling. There was a yellow R/T running about 14.7's. As soon as I got home I ordered a Quick-D throttlebody & intake...Got to go faster!!
