It is nice to be able to report something positive......
I really wanted a performance computer for my '97 5.2 automatic.
After trying to deal with Hypertech for 5 1/2 months, I still don't
have a computer or my $300. I noticed that the computers for
the Ram/Dakota 5.2's have been removed from their Web Site.
Over the last three years I have tried to deal with MP (Houston) and
several local shops (Michigan) for various items.
On the advice of Tim (coolva1@home.com) I contacted Lawrence Rounddtree
at http://www.mopartsracing.com (Gainsville, Georgia). Lawrence answered
all my questions immediately and shipped a MOPAR performance computer
for my truck in 24 hours. He notified me via e:mail of the UPS shipment.
When I need (or want) something for my Dakota, this is where I will shop.
It is refreshing to deal with a business that actually seems concerned
about the customers needs and wants.
I am sure there are several aftermarket manufactures/retailers that have
given DML members excellent service. Lawrence Rountree and mopartsracing
should be added to this list.
